Jud worked in the hospitality industry working for Walt Disney World for 16 years, several professional sports teams and the National Basketball Association. In addition, he spent 25 years managing the development of construction projects in the sports and entertainment industry.

 ASSESSING YOUR BUSINESS HEALTH

No Surprises!  You can get close to that ideal by reviewing the ongoing viability of your business on a periodic basis.  This workshop will blend a thought model, some useful guidelines and references, and participant experiences into practical framework for use in assessing business health.  Discussions and reference readings will touch on financial health, customer relations, marketing, management and employee relations, operations, and risk management. This is a workshop; prior review of materials, participant interaction, and homework are all expected to maximize the learning.  In addition to the presenter, several other SCORE counselors will discuss experiences in the workshop.

 

Presenter:


Michael Del Vecchio currently counsels SCORE clients in Madison. His background includes starting several business consulting firms, working at Price Waterhouse in New York City, and reaching the level of Chief Technical Officer for a large insurance corporation. He is a professional project manager and has experience working on merger/acquisition teams, developing strategic plans, executing large financial systems projects, and managing mid-sized organizations. He is also an experienced technical trainer. Mike is retired from business. He is actively engaged in volunteer activities serving as a member of the Board of Directors at WFC in Meriden where he is active on the Audit Committee and marketing and tutoring high school students in physics, chemistry and mathematics. He has prior experience as a member of several boards of directors for non-profits including start ups.
